Our launch event was a great success, with friends, supporters and well-wishers in attendance to have conversations about my candidacy and the state of our democracy. There was an engaging Q&A where we were able to discuss the state of the race, the challenges ahead, and why it's important to have more representatives in Congress that can usher in the change that we need.

We're moving forward! If you can, we'd love for you to chip-in $5 or $10 to help with the campaign. We are also always looking for volunteers that can give an hour or two to help spread the word. We've got 8 months to win this! Let's Go!

A Teacher at Heart

On Saturday, October 4, at 10 AM at the United Lutheran Seminary, 7301 Germantown Ave, I'll be teaching a 2-hour course entitled Scam Spotting: Protecting Yourself Online and Beyond through Mt. Airy Learning Tree. As technology has become more sophisticated and complex, so have the scams that utilize it. Whether it's cold calls, impersonating loved ones, or generating deep fakes, scammers are constantly finding new ways to defraud us. In 2024, losses from digital scams in the United States exceeded $16 billion, a 33% increase over 2023. The course will present an overview of modern-day financial scams, what to look for, and how to avoid them. You can register for the course on the MALT website.

It's Election Season

On November 4 Pennsylvanians will be asked whether we should retain three supreme court justices. Justices David Wecht, Christine Donohue, and Kevin Dougherty have a proven record of looking out for the rights and dignity of Pennsylvanians, both as jurists and as private citizens in their advocative ventures. At this time in our country's history, we need a strong Supreme Court that will not kowtow to extremists, racists, and those hell-bent on overthrowing our constitutional order. I intend to vote Yes for the retention of these justices (with my mail-in ballot), and I encourage others to do the same.
