Americans Reject Trump

November 10, 2025

A Blue Wave crashed on the shores of our democracy last Tuesday, and Americans told Trump that they're tired of his mishandling of the economy, his mistreatment of American citizens, and his ever-increasing authoritarian actions. Democrats cannot get complacent, however, as polls show that while this election was a referendum on Trumpism, Americans still have a negative view when it comes to their support of the Democratic party. We still need new messages and messengers, or this momentum may be short-lived.

And while we have that good news, we're still dealing with the impact of a government shutdown that has left many federal workers without pay and many Americans that rely on SNAP benefits without food and basic supplies. I want to thank my fellow Philadelphians for stepping up and volunteering and donating to food banks across the city. I got to meet and work with many of them over the past week, and these people are the heartbeat of our city!

It seems there was a deal made that could see the government reopen by the end of the week, and while this is a positive for those that are struggling, I believe it's the wrong thing to do in the long run. Republicans convinced some Senate Democrats to cross over on the promise that there will be discussions about extending Obamacare subsidies after the government reopens, but there is no guarantee this will be delivered in any meaningful way. What's more, if Republicans had any intention to support such a measure, it would have been included in the current bill. This means that we may see healthcare premiums rise by as much as 300% in some cases if Congress isn't able to extend subsidies. This is life or death for many Philadelphians. Congress needs to deliver!

We've Got Next!

Now that the 2025 elections are behind us, the 2026 midterm primaries are next on the agenda. I want to thank everyone who has supported our campaign so far, and we're glad to have you on board for this final push! We've got a message that people need to hear, and we want your help in making it heard. Please let your family, friends, and colleagues know about our campaign and why we have to win. Having scientists and technologists in Congress is more important now than ever before as we begin to see the impact of AI and other emerging technologies on the job market, our healthcare, and the environment. Now is the time for a new generation of representatives that are connected to this new world and can effectively legislate to help everyone in the city and the country. Also consider making a small-dollar donation. Anything you can contribute will help us spread our message to each and every resident in the district and bring our campaign over the finish line!

Your support is what makes this campaign possible. Donating is the easiest way to help us bring our message of equal protections and benefits from emerging technologies to Washington!
